LA based producer Them Jeans released a big tune in 2010 Balloons EP on Top Billin. If ya’ll don’t remember that one, check it out here, it’s a nicely blended techy house track with a unique lead. He’s been the supporting pillar—literally, dude is like 6’8″—at the Dim Mak weekly parties that our LA boys have been regular patrons of, and he’s (rather successfully) remixed everybody from The XX to Kanye to Rusko to Yeasayer to Kid Cudi to Sigur Ros—no country music remixes though, sorry ya’ll.

CMNDer is back at Torch in #CHS tomorrow for the EF Records party, Space Holler. If you’re in Charleston, you know you need to be there.

Them Jeans just posted a new remix, as well. This is from Swick’s upcoming Jogalani EP, which will also include a mix by Douster. Indeed.

Rusko – Hold On (Them Jeans Remix)

I had the pleasure of meeting the tall drink of water they call Them Jeans (6′ 9″ to be exact) Tuesday night at Cinespace. When he’s not holding down one of the best weekly parties in Los Angeles for Dim Mak, he’s also producing good music (he held down a top position on Hype Machine with a Yeah Yeah Yeahs remix for almost an entire week last month).

Here’s a brand new remix from Them Jeans:

Busy Week In LA

That may be redundant in this city, but CMNDer and I have been trying to keep up with the best shit going on. Dim Mak Tuesdays with Acid Washed and Them Jeans was dope. Acid Washed started a mosh pit which threatened to destroy the DJ booth when they dropped Warp 1.9 with live keys. The highlight of Them Jean’s set for me was when he mixed in Aloe Blacc’s “I Need a Dollar.” Not positive, but I’m pretty sure it was this remix:

Tonight we’ll be hitting up the above party at La Cita before we head to the Roosevelt pool party (which has hosted the likes of Thom Yorke for guest DJ sets).
