Chromeo – Hot Mess (Djedjotronic Remix)

djedjotronic

Djedjotronic can do no wrong right now. Dude has been piling on the good sounds with quality techno track after quality techno track. You might remember his stupid awesome remix of Chilly Gonzalez‘s I am Europe that got all that playtime from Boys Noize, Brodinski, Tiga, and well, you get the idea. If you slept on it, well, don’t worry. The track is available in full 320k glory free from your homies over at RCRDLBL. Head on over to grab it. (more…)

Chromeo

Chromeo Business Casual

In case you were too busy to notice, Chromeo dropped their new album, Business Casual this week. And thank God: earlier this week, I saw ONE MORE GODDAM REMIX of “Don’t Turn the Lights On” and made a pact with the devil to destroy the next person to put out a Chromeo remix before the LP release. So, this is good timing.

Anyway, what i thought was really cool about this release (warning: nerdy shit to follow) is the fact that NPR is streaming the whole album on their website for free (until October 4). Not clips: the whole album. I mean, way to step it up, NPR. This is really dope. They’ve even got an iPhone App now so I can stream good shit while I’m driving across the country Monday. Public radio is not dead, amigos. It’s safe to turn the lights on again.

Here’s the opening track on the NPR music player. It’s a great day for nerds and hippies alike.

Screw you guys… we play real football.

Alright alright, not our year: even if you rubbed Landon Donovan’s abs for good luck. Altidore was sleeping the entire game, and for some reason we took Findley out in the first half. Watch out in 2014, if the world’s still around. On the upside, at least the US vs Ghana game set some records. Apparently 19.4 million people tuned in to see us get our asses beat, crushing the previous record of 14.8 mil. So we win even when we lose, suck it Africa. On the real, props to Ghana, they deserved it.

New Chromeo to ease the pain. This is that steeze you throw on the decks in the wee hours of the night after all the partying has been had and you’re settling down, hopefully with that girl from the show. Don’t turn the lights on, cause tonight I wanna see you in the dark. Buttery smooth.
