JeffET aka(Jeff Turner)

You don't meet someone like Jeff Turner every day. In fact, you're lucky if you meet someone even remotely like Jeff ever. His completely original style in everything from gettin' dressed to telling someone "hello" is reflected in his unique dj sets.

Jeff used to go to church: until he found religion one Sunday afternoon thanks to a dj named Coco D. They met at a church function Coco was djing and began quizzing each other on music, bonding over the fact that they were both outcasts due to their natural affinity for partying and dance music. Coco taught Jeff how to beat match, and introduced him to Chicago House music. From there, JeffET was hooked, and has been acquiring records and gear ever since.

More recently, Jeff has been under the wing of local dj legend and mentor, Bird Flu, gaining a respect for turntablism and a deeper love for vinyl. One of the high points of Jeff's career so far was spinning an impressive two hour all-vinyl set at Kulture Klash to about 1000 people. The set (which almost didn't happen due to a power outage) spanned everything from Gospel House and disco to Bmore Club and electro. Jeff's sets are always eclectic, and his unwillingness to compromise his own tastes just to please a crowd has earned him much deserved respect among both his crew and his peers.
