Bizzy Saturday with EF Records!
We have a super busy Saturday tomorrow, ya’ll: so many chances to hear some good music.
First up, chopsticks will be throwin’ down a dance set for Rooftop at Vendue Inn’s (CHS) Back to School Bash (rain or shine). Someone said there will be drink specials all night with student IDs, but you didn’t hear that from me (and yes, you still have to be 21, duh–while EF Records condones booty shakin’ at any age, we bow down to Johnny Law when it comes to drankin’).
Party starts at 4:30 pm with Louis D and the Dixonsiders–dirty. Then chopsticks 8:30-close. No cover.
I hung out with Adam during a practice sesh a couple of days ago, and I’m impressed. Big ups. Here’s what you can expect from their set:

Party Dad will be at O-Ku downtown CHS spinning an all vinyl set of disco, boogie, and even some motown 45s. If you haven’t heard him lately, Tay is killing it.

And finally, MACHETE and JeffET will be spinning at the Blü Superhero Party at Dharma Lounge in Charlotte. We always have a killer time at Dharma, so come hang out and let’s kick it in the CLT. This will be the big Charlotte debut for our new haircuts, and of course I’m gonna wear the mask. Get freaky. There are prizes involved.

Home Grown
Gettin ready for what could just be one of the best parties of the summer tonight! Here’s a sneak peak!
Backin’ up one day… last night was my last set at Torch before I move to LA on Friday. I mixed it up with JeffET and we came out with a set that was so awesome and fun for us, that we are just going to have to post it up on the blog later this week. In honor of Beach Boddin’ it was all out beach themed, complete with short shorts, tank tops, and as many inflatable beach toys as you could handle. Thanks so much to the bar for holding music and DJing up to such a high standard!

Home Grown
EF Records are getting into the warehouse party business for an epic send off as CMNDer and MACHETE make their way out west. Kicking off with a “bring your own meat” BBQ starting at 7, a lineup of 9 of the best local DJ acts will begin their sets around 9pm and go all night. The event is invite only, so make sure to get in touch with one of us, or send us an email if you want an invite! The event is Aug 10 (Tue), get up with us for deets!

Marmalade
Last night was another “Beach Boddin’” at Torch Monday. JeffET mixed with me dropping all vinyl all night long and things got a little out of hand, in a very good way, thanks to our killer monday night crowd and some new intelligent lights. EF Records in the News
Congratulations are in order for one Party Dad of Electric Friends Records for his first feature write-up! Well done, sir. And an excellent job on the article by our good friend, Paul Pavlich.

Tonight, Party Dad will be performing at the Sale Soiree benefit fundraiser 7PM-10PM. Electric Friends will be spinning the officially after party and fashion show beginning at 10PM at O-Ku, hosted by Charleston After Dark. The party will feature fashion by the lovely Anna Lassiter, one of Charleston’s emerging designers who currently sells her work at Eden Boheme. The show will involve some models actually walking around, mingling with partygoers rather than walking on a runway, which I think is a pretty novel approach to displaying your fashion in its natural habitat. Well done, Anna.
